Our apprenticeship programme offers a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in electrical engineering. We provide hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals, ensuring you gain valuable skills and knowledge.

Our apprentices work on a variety of projects, from residential to large commercial installations, providing a comprehensive learning experience. At MD Govier, we believe in investing in the future, and our apprenticeship programme is designed to develop the next generation of skilled electricians.

Our premises are based in Milton Keynes, a vibrant and growing area known for its excellent transport links, schools, and recreational facilities. This location is easily accessible and offers ample free parking. Our modern office provides a comfortable working environment and is conveniently close to local amenities.

Our Operations Division also operates from this base, travelling to various sites across the UK. Given the team-oriented nature of our work, our engineers often share vehicles, utilising the company’s fleet to ensure efficient and eco-friendly transport. This approach helps us minimise emissions and deliver materials and manpower to sites effectively.

As we provide services nationwide, our engineers sometimes stay away from home for periods ranging from 2 to 6 days, with all expenses covered. However, this is not a permanent arrangement. Working with us means being part of a community that values work-life balance and personal development, with the flexibility to meet the demands of projects across the country.

I joined MD Govier in October 2024, making a big career change into Operations and Procurement. It was a completely new direction for me, and to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I first started at MD Govier as an apprentice in 2013. Having completed my level 2 NVQ I was put in touch with Mark Govier via the college I attended. Fast forward 11 years and I am now a Project Manager, responsible for several projects at any one time and a team of great people.

Throughout my time at MD Govier I have felt supported at all times in terms of career progression through the different job roles I have had but also in terms of furthering my knowledge, I have been put through so many additional courses such as solar and EV charging to expand my knowledge in up and coming areas of the industry.

My favourite thing about working here is how well everyone works as a team and pulls together to get the job done.
