MD Govier was awarded the project of upgrading electrical distribution boards across several areas within All Saints CofE Primary School. The scope of works allowed us to select the most suitable distribution boards and install them in areas that required upgrading. After having all boards now up to date, this has increased the safety and improved efficiency which is of course, essential!
After having an electrical survey carried out on the existing distribution, it was decided that as the building was originally constructed in the 1980s and the service life for the distribution equipment was approximately twenty years, that these should undergo replacements. MD Govier was then tasked with decommissioning the existing boards and replacing with twelve new boards with surge protection devices and associated components such as incoming metering kits. To ensure that the daily running of the school was undisturbed all works were carried out during out of hours/overnight and during term holidays. This meant that all power needed to be reinstated after each shift so that staff and pupils could continue with their daily schedules.
