We were tasked with replacing and upgrading the University’s lighting across the whole of the Rhind campus to bring it more up to date whilst also improving the efficiency of the lighting system. By installing a new high-quality LED lighting system to suit the client’s needs, this has improved their energy savings alongside improving their business and performance.
The existing lighting system was not LED and not on a smart system and the University wanted to make this more efficient leading to savings in energy and cost. To improve this, all fittings were upgraded to LED and new PIR management was installed to reduce lights running in spaces unoccupied.
We installed all lighting and switching components to the client’s supplied design and also accessed between floor levels to access LCMs. These were originally controlling the existing lighting system and needed to be overridden. Our engineers also demonstrated the emergency lighting with a 3hr discharge test and labelled each emergency light fitting with corresponding drawings to issue the client.
